Since their inception in 1993 Post Overalls have continued to deliver quality American vintage style designs, both superbly detailed and beautifully constructed.
The BDU-R Jacket from Post Overalls has gained cult status over the last 30 years as a staple in their collection, and rightly so. Often introduced in new, forward thinking fabrics, it has become an essential in any wardrobe for its simplicity and ease of wear.
The Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) is a camouflaged combat uniform that was used by the United States Armed Forces as their standard combat uniform from the early 1980s to the mid-2000s. It borrows from earlier styles like the M-65 and was introduced to reduce costs and simplify wears. Post Overalls have adopted this easy-to-wear style and have made it approachable for modern wear offering all the utilitarian uses as military issued garments.
The BDU-R Jacket has been cut from 100% cotton ripstop in Japan, so is naturally lightweight. An ideal fabric for the Spring/Summer seasons, the BDU-R comes in a charcoal colour-way that is easy to pair with a number of outfits, while there are a number of other great details throughout.
Two hip pockets with button flap closure have been paired with a single chest pocket and Post’s signature left chest pen pocket. Side button adjusters are present to aid fit while the fabric has been through a wash to minimise further shrinkage. Tonal buttons and concealed button placket have been paired with adjustable button cuffs while a relaxed fit completes the look.
