Fine Creek Leather Leather Jackets<s 'Top Field' Horsehide Leather Jacket Black

Over the past couple of years Fine Creek Leather have been making a name for themselves with their unique and individual leather jackets. Here we have the Top Field, their take on a classic 1930’s Aero Leather Clothing Half Belt Sports Jacket.

Each jacket is hand-stitched in their Tokyo studio with great skill, using a fine stitch-count which is extremely hard to achieve on leather manufacturing. The Joseph has been produced with the same sewing techniques as seen on vintage leather jackets to enhance the puckering through the seams creating wonderful, subtle areas of character that run through each garment. 

This version of the Top Field is cut in Japan from a 1.3mm horsehide from the famed Himeji tannery. The leather is tanned using a unique recipe that Yoshikatsu Yamazaki has developed over the years spent working in the leather industry. The dying process creates a top coat that will wear over time revealing the natural brown undertones of the hide. This is often referred to as tea-core leather for the golden brown tones that appear over time.

Cut to the basic shape of a 30’s Sports Jacket, the Top Field features a half belt to the back, zip front and two slash pockets with zip closure as well single slanted chest pocket with ball pull zip closure. Custom branded buckles to each side aid fit, while a cupra lining features throughout.
